The Center for Minority Studies, Washington DC (CMS of DC) is a not for profit organization which was created to meet the educational health needs of the community. CMS of DC is a branch of its parent organization located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The founder of Center for Minority Studies, Evans Branch, Pharm. D. gave his approval to start a DC chapter in January of 2002. Since that time, CMS of DC has been dedicated to reducing and/or eliminating the health disparities and barriers that hinder educational progress in what the Center for Disease Control and Prevention has labeled the "hard to reach population."
